Books about Digital watermarking (found 78 titles) Author: Patrick Loo Publisher: LAP Lambert Academic Publishing Publication date: 2010-01-22 ISBN: 383833678X Pages: 180 Price: $96.00Digital watermarks emerged in the last decade as a possible solution for protecting the copyright of digital materials. We introduce complex wavelets as a novel transform for watermarking images. The complex wavelets transform has similar properties to the human visual system and experimental results show that watermarking systems designed using complex wavelets have good performance. Two different watermarking systems are considered here. The first one is based on the principles of spread spectrum communications. An alternative matched filter is proposed for watermark decoding, which is shown to have better performance than the conventional matched filter, when the underlying signal is non-stationary. The second watermarking algorithm is based on a hybrid combination between quantisation and spread spectrum techniques. This is due to the fact that watermarking can be considered as communication with side information. Finally, we suggest ways in which the watermark decoder performance can be improved when the watermarked image is attacked, in particular under three scenarios: compression, geometric distortion and denoising. The signal may be audio, pictures or video, for example. If the signal is copied, then the information is also carried in the copy. In visible watermarking, the information is visible in the picture or video. Typically, the information is text or a logo which identifies the owner of the media. The image on the right has a visible watermark. When a television broadcaster adds its logo to the corner of transmitted video, this is also a visible watermark. In invisible watermarking, information is added as digital data to audio, picture or video, but it cannot be perceived as such although it is possible to detect the hidden information. An important application of invisible watermarking is to copyright protection systems, which are intended to prevent or deter unauthorized copying of digital media. Steganography is sometimes applied in digital watermarking, where two parties communicate a secret message embedded in the digital signal Publisher: Springer Publication date: 2009-11-13 ISBN: 3642044379 Pages: 472 Price: $95.00This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-conference proceedings of the 7th International Workshop on Digital Watermarking, IWDW 2008, held in Busan, Korea, in November 2008. Digital watermarking is one of the widely used techniques used in the world in the area of information security. This book introduces a number of digital watermarking techniques and is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the importance of watermarking techniques and intelligent technology. The second part includes a number of watermarking techniques. The third part includes the hybrid watermarking techniques and the final part presents conclusions. This book is directed to students, professors, researchers and application engineers who are interested in the area of information security. Authors: Current Analysis Inc.
