Books about Digital watermarking (found 98 titles) Publisher: Springer Publication date: 2010-10-29 ISBN: 3642142974 Pages: 129 Price: $72.00Since the mid 1990s, data hiding has been proposed as an enabling technology for securing multimedia communication, and is now used in various applications including broadcast monitoring, movie fingerprinting, steganography, video indexing and retrieval, and image authentication. Data hiding and cryptographic techniques are often combined to complement each other, thus triggering the development of a new research field of multimedia security. Besides, two related disciplines, steganalysis and data forensics, are increasingly attracting researchers and becoming another new research field of multimedia security. This journal, LNCS Transactions on Data Hiding and Multimedia Security, aims to be a forum for all researchers in these emerging fields, publishing both original and archival research results. This issue contains a special section on forensic image analysis for crime prevention including two papers. The additional four papers deal with collusion-resistant fingerprinting systems; Publisher: Springer Publication date: 2010-09-27 ISBN: 3642155057 Pages: 311 Price: $129.00Advances in Digital Forensics VI describes original research results and innovative applications in the discipline of digital forensics. Excerpt: URL : Activated Content is a digital watermarking company based in Seattle , Washington . The company has its own proprietary audio watermarking technology and provides several solutions based around watermarking. Activated Content was the first company to offer turnkey audio watermarking solutions to the music industry. The system was designed with help from Sony Music and Universal Music. Through his pioneering studies of watermarks, Stevenson solved "the most fascinating, and perhaps the most notorious, bibliographical problem of our time," the dating of the Missale Speciale or Constance Missal , an undated incunable (book printed before 1501) believed by many to pre-date the Gutenberg Bible (c. 1455), and possibly to have been the first printed European book. Stevenson proved that the book in fact had been printed nearly twenty years later, in 1473. Through similar analysis of watermarks, he also established that most block books , small religious books in which the text and images were printed from a single woodcut block and which many believed dated from the early 1400s, had in fact been printed after 1460. Overview Stevenson was born on June 20, 1903, in Merlin, Ontario , Canada. His family moved ... Because traditional copyright methods are unsuitable for establishing ownership, digital watermarking is considered one of the best solutions to prevent illegal and malicious copying and distribution of digital media. Advanced Techniques in Multimedia Watermarking: Image, Video and Audio Applications introduces readers to state-of-the-art research in multimedia watermarking. Covering new advancements in digital image watermarking and techniques for implementation and optimization across different media, this book is a valuable companion for professionals and researchers working in areas such as document watermarking, multimedia fingerprinting, information hiding, secured e-commerce, copyright protection, and hardware implementation of real-time multimedia watermarking. We introduce complex wavelets as a novel transform for watermarking images. The complex wavelets transform has similar properties to the human visual system and experimental results show that watermarking systems designed using complex wavelets have good performance. Two different watermarking systems are considered here. The first one is based on the principles of spread spectrum communications. An alternative matched filter is proposed for watermark decoding, which is shown to have better performance than the conventional matched filter, when the underlying signal is non-stationary. The second watermarking algorithm is based on a hybrid combination between quantisation and spread spectrum techniques. This is due to the fact that watermarking can be considered as communication with side information. Finally, we suggest ways in which the watermark decoder performance can be improved when the watermarked image is attacked, in particular under three scenarios: compression, geometric distortion and denoising.
